Protect the Health and Safety of Our Communities

To strengthen our communities, we must ensure the well-being of every neighbor. That means expanding access to affordable health care, investing in community-based violence prevention, protecting constitutional rights and creating neighborhoods where everyone feels safe and welcome. No one should have to choose between medical care and financial stability. No family should live in fear of being torn apart or feel unsafe going to work or school. And while we address the crisis of gun violence, we must also uphold the rights guaranteed by our Constitution.

Our communities deserve to be healthy, secure and inclusive — regardless of skin color, faith or background.

Support the MiCare bill to ensure every Michigander has access to secure healthcare, with the peace of mind that they can see a doctor when needed.

Advance common-sense gun reform that respects gun owners and the constitutional right to bear arms, but also protects our neighbors’ safety in grocery stores, places of worship, and schools.

Invest in Community Violence Prevention (CVI) programs, which have proven success in reducing violence and focus on evidence-based solutions to enhance safety and strengthen neighborhoods.

Abolish and prosecute ICE. Period.
